Watch this slow motion 115kg (253lbs) Snatch by Lidia Valentin. (My woman crush.)  Notice how her back angle stays the same as she drives her knees back out of the way, and how she pushes the bar back into her hips.  While she’s pushing the bar back to her hips she’s waiting on the jump… her feet stay flat on the ground until she’s in her power position.  Once the bar makes contact with her hips she’s using that momentum to drive the bar up, NOT forward and around.  I mean, she almost hits her head.  After that all that, the only thing left is the catch.  She pulls herself under the bar, and notice how solid her shoulders are when she receives the weight.  She’s aggressive down in the bottom of the lift, and is totally like “NBD, 115 is just any old day.”
